Comfy Girl Chic

Full disclosure, babes: I am 100% committed to being comfy at all times. I am the self-professed queen of yoga pants. I don't own any bras with underwire in them at the moment (#sportsbralife), and my wedding dress definitely has a stretchy top. I just like to move, OK?

I have been this way since college, when I realized that my status as a collegiate athlete made it 100% OK to be in athletic apparel 100% of the time. Plus, I had to wake up at the ass-crack of dawn and I consider sleep more important than...anything. So I turned in my too-tight jeans for stretchy pants and workout tanks and never looked back. I was always comfy. When my friends saw me in jeans for the first time and wouldn't stop complimenting me I realized that maybe I had taken things too far.

In my older, wiser, age I have found creative ways to be comfortable at all times. Athleisure is the name of my game, friends. I need my personal style to be both classic and functional. Super functional. This is not to say that I am lazy. Comfy does not equal lazy. While I love a good nap, I also love getting shit done. Being comfortable helps me get major shit done. I want to look incredible, but I also want to feel like I can still move, breathe, and live my life without my clothes restricting me.

ThredUp, one of the great loves of my life, totally is an enabler in my quest of being forever comfortable. For those of you who are new here, this is not the first time I have raved about ThredUp. Their app is my favorite place to sell my clothes because I don't have to leave my home, I don't have to sit watching a stranger dig through my belongings, and money magically shows up in my bank account while I sit on my couch hammering away blog posts. Plus, they sell everything. Every brand I have ever lusted after is for sale on the ThredUp site for insanely great prices. Yes, please.

In the interest of being both comfy and cute (comfy chic, anyone?) I found this amazing Kut from the Kloth button-down, dreamy floral shirt dress that I plan to wear until... forever. It's cozy, it's classic, and it's soft as a baby's bottom. One could argue that it has rob-like qualities. I'm ready for you, spring. Now give me some sunshine!

Biggest thanks to ThredUp for partnering on this post!
